The Flathead hasn't seen too much snow yet, but people in Whitefish are ready.
Skiers and snowboarders packed Big Mountain's ski swap today, all hoping to find some new gear for the season. The swap had everything from boots, to coats, to goggles, and even new equipment.
Big Mountain Ski Club Director David Gibson says everyone who came out to the swap today is excited to get out on the mountain and try their new gear.
"The mountain participated by throwing some snow up there so we've definitely seen some numbers turn up and people are excited and some people are evening hiking up the mountain now,” said Gibson. “So there's a good chance to get gear whether you're a snowboarder or skier and we've had big success."
Big Mountain Ski Club is also looking for more ski instructors.
