MISSOULA, Mont. -

Big Sky High School student Zack Plasmier tells NBC Montana he had a tattoo done Thursday to honor his best friend Diren Dede.

Prosecutors say Markus Kaarma laid a trap to catch would-be burglars and shot Dede after he entered his garage. He’s charged with deliberate homicide.

Plasmier tells NBC Montana that he played soccer with Dede. His tattoo includes a Turkish flag, with Dede’s birthdate, and the day he died. The tattoo is located above Plasmier’s heart.

“It's my first one and I just wanted it to be memorable for my best friend, Diren. I just will always remember him,” said Plasmier.
