Early Saturday morning hundreds gathered in Bigfork to begin their annual tradition of decorating the down town area.
Each year, the Bigfork elves turn the town into what's known as Montana's Christmas village.
"This is transformed in just two to four hours from just a plain town, nice little quaint town, to the most decorated village in Montana," said Bill McGuiffie.
He’s been helping decorate for 21 years and says his favorite part is seeing the finished product.
"The word I head most often is probably amazing besides beautiful, gorgeous, and even unbelievable."
The tradition has gone on for over 30 years now, and McGuffie says he has no plans of stopping anytime soon.
"I'll be back next year. As long as I can hobble in, I'll be back."
The decorations will remain up in Bigfork until January where the elves will then begin to take them down.
