Billings man sentenced for prostitution-for-bond
A Billings man who pleaded guilty to encouraging his girlfriend to prostitute herself in order to raise bail money has been sentenced to two years with the Department of Corrections.
33-year-old David Earl Luginbuhl was sentenced Tuesday to five years in state custody with three suspended for felony promoting prostitution.
District Judge Gregory Todd ordered the sentence to run concurrently to an identical sentence Luginbuhl recently received in Stillwater County for solicitation of burglary.
Luginbuhl admitted in April that while jailed in Yellowstone County on the burglary case he had numerous telephone conversations with his girlfriend about raising bail money.
The calls were recorded by an automated system at the jail and included discussion of the encounters she had with men and how much money she received.
