HOME INVASION
BILLINGS, Mont. -

Police in Billings are asking for help in solving a string of home invasion assaults against young women, four of whom were sexually assaulted and robbed.

Police Chief Rich St. John tells The Billings Gazette that two break-ins were thwarted.

The break-ins began on Jan. 9, with the latest one occurring on Tuesday.

The assailant is described as a white man between the ages of 25 and 35, less than 6 feet tall with a slender build and weighing less than 200 pounds.

All of the victims have been women in their 20s with similar hair color. The break-ins happened between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. in the western part of Billings.

The assailant, who uses a weapon, has entered the residences through unlocked doors and windows.
