BOZEMAN, Mont. -

As we near elections next month, we are taking a look at the races and the candidates behind them. Five people are seeking one of the two open seats on the Bozeman city commission.

I-Ho Pomeroy is one of those candidates. We spoke to her Thursday afternoon. She tells us she has lived in Bozeman for more than 20 years. Pomeroy is a small business owner who is looking to bring her knowledge to the table. Pomeroy tells us her restaurant started out as a food cart 17 years ago.

Pomeroy tells us she has enjoyed going door-to-door and learning more about Bozeman and the local economy. If elected, Pomeroy says she can bring a different perspective to the commission.

"I'm a small business owner and I am a woman, and I am a naturalized citizen. What that means is I was not born here, I was born in South Korea. I wanted to be an American citizen so I can run and vote," said Pomeroy.

If you would like to meet the candidates yourself, you can on October 22. The forum begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
