Bozeman City Commissioners approve two big downtown projects
BOZEMAN, Mont. -

Bozeman City Commissioners voted to give permits to a convenience store and distillery that will be located downtown.

The new Town Pump will be located at the corner of Main and Broadway in downtown Bozeman.

Currently, there is a small convenience store at the location of Broadway and Main.  Town Pump wants to demolish it and replace it with an estimated 11,000-square-foot building. Town Pump would move all the fuel pumps so they are concentrated together.

Commissioners also green-lighted a distillery and tasting room on the west side of downtown.

The distillery would go in at 121 West Main Street which is the old Schnee's store.

Deputy Mayor Jeff Krauss said at Monday night's meeting, he wanted to clarify the definition of 'produce,' making sure that anything sold in the tasting room was distilled on site.

Both the Town Pump and the distillery were approved by all commissioners by a 5-0 vote.
