Butte Ladies Auxiliary donates to Rescue Mission

The Butte Ladies Auxiliary made a generous donation to the Butte Rescue Mission this morning.
The Ladies Auxiliary wanted to help because the Rescue Mission serves 100 to 150 meals a day, and has 38 to 40 people sleeping there each night. That's why the towels and toiletries are so welcome.
The Mission said low income individuals cannot pay with food stamps, but still need these items. They said the partnership with the Ladies Auxiliary is beneficial to both organizations and the veterans they serve.
Butte Rescue Mission's Executive Director Rachel Freeman said, "It lets the people who come here know that they're valued and they matter to other people. I think a lot of time when people come here, they don't have a great sense of hope, and so this allows them to know that other people actually are taking them into consideration and that they matter to them."
With the holiday season approaching, the Rescue Mission is in need of holiday foods and winter clothes.
