No proposals for Brincks and Deluxe lot; city looks to make lot a green space
BUTTE, Mont. -

Butte-Silver Bow will auction off the land where the Brincks and Deluxe Buildings once stood Wednesday morning.

The buildings were demolished in late February, ending a years-long battle over the Brincks.

Butte-Silver Bow's Community Development Director, Karen Byrnes, told NBC Montana they'll open live auction bidding at 9 a.m. in the Council Chambers in the Butte-Silver Bow Court House. The starting price is $50,000.

The plot of land is zoned for commercial and light industrial use. If no one buys the land at auction, Byrnes said the city will ask buyers to create and submit a developers package.

The last option the city is looking at is creating a green space that welcomes visitors to Butte.
