BOZEMAN, Mont. -

Bozeman locals perused through nearly 10,000 items at the annual ski swap, Saturday. Organizers tell us that number is on par with years past.

Shoppers can find items ranging from skis and snowboards to boots, outerwear, gloves and poles.

Organizers say it's a way to give back to the community while raising money for Bridger Ski Foundation's operating costs like coachs' salaries and their new snow groomer.

"Families can come in here and find affordable equipment. They can get their kids into stuff that fits them that is the right length, the right size and at a reduced rate compared to buying brand new equipment," says Ski Swap organizer Rob Hamilton.

The sale continues Sunday from 10a to 2p at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds.

The Bridger Ski Foundation Ski Swap has been a Bozeman area annual tradition for more than 45 years.

BSF programs range from youth ski leagues to racing and Nordic ski programs.
