On Friday, residents pitched their ideas and requests to the Missoula City-County Department of Grants and Community Programs in a meeting known as the Community Needs Assessment meeting. Organizers say the meeting was an opportunity for the public to prioritize and bring up needs in the Missoula Community.
Discussed topics included housing, economic development, public services and facilities/improvement.
The meeting was also the first step toward the five-year Consolidated Plan for 2014-2018. A second Consolidated Plan meeting will be held in December, though a date and location has yet to be announced.
Information was also provided about 2014 HOME and CDBG applications.
