Couple denies charges after boy taken
A Hungry Horse couple have denied charges filed after their 1-year-old son was taken from his grandparents' house in Kalispell in April, prompting an Amber Alert.
Twenty-nine-year-old Beau Blasius and 23-year-old Bryndi Gibson pleaded not guilty on July 3 to felony counts of custodial interference and theft. Blasius also is charged with felony burglary for taking a pickup truck from an acquaintance.
Charging documents say Blasius and Gibson went to his parents' house in the middle of the night on April 27, kicked in the door to the boy's room and took him.
Blasius' parents were awakened by the noise, but the boy was already gone.
Blasius, Gibson and the child were found in Fife, Wash. Court records say Blasius told officers they lost custody of their son due to drug use.
