MISSOULA, Mont. -

Missoula City Fire and Missoula Rural Fire were dispatched to a structure fire at 2200 W. Central Ave. at 4:50 this morning. A total of 5 engines, 1 truck, and the on duty Battalion Chief responded. City PD units and an ambulance responded as well.

When crews arrived on scene, heavy smoke was seen coming from the large warehouse.

Initial crews made entry while truck 148 opened up the roof to let the heated smoke and gases out of the building. Fire crews made an interior attack and knocked down the fire. Crews also worked from the aerial platform of truck 148 while checking for fire extension. A fire investigator was called and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters and damage have not been estimated at this time.

Further questions should be directed to the Missoula Fire Department's Fire Prevention Bureau during business hours at 552-6210.
