It's that time of year again - harvest weekend at Missoula's Ten Spoon Winery and Orchard. It's a chance for folks to lend a hand or two with the picking and take part in an industry that's about as old as any.
Co-owner Andy Sponseller tells us this year's grape batch faced freezes, hornets and plenty of other hazards.
He says the grapes turned out a little smaller than he’d like, but otherwise they look good.
"This is what it's all about,” said Sponseller. “The harvest is the culmination of a lot of hard work, and when you finally get there, you know what you have to do to get it down, so it's a big relief, because everything leading up to it is uncertain.”
The grape picking at Ten Spoon continues on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Anyone’s invited to help out.
