Police in Bozeman are on the hunt for an armed robber accused firing a shot during the holdup. They responded to a report of an armed robbery at Domino's Pizza on North 7th Avenue just after 11 p.m. Sunday.
As of Monday evening, Scott McCormick with the Bozeman Police Department tells NBC Montana they are still looking for the suspect involved. They describe him as a male with a medium build, and between 5-foot-8 and 6-feet tall.
"Wearing a dark jacket, dark pants, with a mask and a hood, the mask was a clown mask," said McCormick.
Employees told police he had an automatic pistol when he walked through the front door. Two employees were in the business at the time.
"He came in, demanded the money from the till, and the employee that was working complied, opened up the till, gave him the money that was in there, and the suspect then left," said McCormick.
Before the suspect took off, he fired his weapon. Police say nobody was injured and there was no serious damage, but they explain at this point there is little to go on.
"We are currently reviewing a lot of surveillance footage from around town leading up to and after the incident occurred," said McCormick.
McCormick reiterates that tips from the public could help solve this crime.
"A lot of times these crimes are solved because somebody knows something, so they can contact the police department, they can contact Crimestoppers," said McCormick.
Police say surveillance photos are expected to be released by the end of this week. Anyone with information about this robbery is encouraged to call 406-582-2010, or Headwaters Crimestoppers at 406-586-1131.
