Fishing restrictions lifted on Bitterroot River
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has lifted fishing restrictions on the Bitterroot River.
The Ravalli Republic reports (http://bit.ly/1dBSEMq) the agency lifted the restrictions Friday after water temperatures held below the 70-degree restriction trigger.
The entire main stem of the Bitterroot since July 25 has been closed to fishing from 2 p.m. to midnight in an effort to reduce stress on fish.
The FWP on Wednesday lifted restrictions on the Clark Fork River.
