Flathead County rejects joint dog licensing plan
The Flathead County Commission has rejected a proposal to create an agreement with the city of Kalispell to combine dog licensing programs.
The Flathead Beacon reports (http://bit.ly/12ENfvC) that commissioners on Thursday didn't support the plan due to concerns about enforcement.
Joe Russell, administrator of the Flathead City-County Health Department, told commissioners that having one licensing program would be more efficient and bring in money for the county animal shelter.
Commissioners say the can revisit the idea at some future time if necessary.
