Many families got a taste of summer camp at the For One Another camp, hosted by Cancer Support Community Montana. The four-day camp provides a respite for cancer patients, survivors, and their families all free of charge.
Jeremy Bricker and his family attended the same camp last year. Bricker is currently undergoing radiation for leukemia. The family says the camp experience gives them a chance to talk and learn from other families going through similar situations.
"In everyday life you don't get a lot of outlets, or you're not around people that truly understand what you're going through," said Jeremy. "A lot of families here are afflicted by cancer or someone has it themselves so you get a different relatability."
The camp is paid for by fundraisers and donations made to Cancer Support Community Montana.
