MISSOULA, Mont. -

A receiver on the Missoula Phoenix football team who is also a former University of Montana basketball player has been taken into custody by police.

The Missoulian reports (http://bit.ly/189TU36) that 27-year-old Ceylon Elgin-Taylor was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Saturday and faces charges of misdemeanor aggravated driving under the influence and resisting arrest.

Sgt. Jerry Odlin of the Missoula Police Department says an officer identified Elgin-Taylor, and that the player had a municipal court warrant for driving without a license.

A DUI investigation followed, and police say Elgin-Taylor didn't follow instructions when getting handcuffed.

Elgin-Taylor was booked into the Missoula County Detention Center and released on bond a few hours later.
