BIGFORK, Mont. -

FWP officials are asking for the public’s help in finding the person who shot a grizzly bear in the Bigfork area. FWP staff say that a bear specialist located a collared male grizzly bear that was dragging his legs. The specialist then landed his helicopter, and euthanized the bear.

Wildlife officials found the bear near the area of Wolf Creek Drive and Highway 83, near the Swan River.

FWP is asking anyone with information to call Warden Chuck Bartos at 253-2934, or 1-800-TIP-MONT.
