Gallatin Co. attorney: Bozeman shooting trial on track for November

Cody Christopher Little, the Bozeman man accused of killing one man and severely injuring another last September, appeared in court Tuesday.
NBC Montana was in court for the status hearing. It was the first time we have seen Little in court since last October when he pleaded not guilty to one charge of deliberate homicide and two counts of attempted deliberate homicide.
The hearing on Tuesday was mostly housekeeping issues, discussing motion deadlines and future omnibus hearing dates. We know the initial 120 prospective jurors will be sent a questionnaire sometime this summer, and those answers are not likely to come back until early fall, around September.
Because this has been a highly publicized case we asked about the possibility of a motion to change venue.
"My experience is that when those juror questionnaires come back, it is usually eye-opening to see how many folks, good citizens, know little to nothing about what happened back last September," said County Attorney Marty Lambert.
Little's case is expected to go to trial in November.
