Glacier Park Inc. purchases West Glacier buildings
The company that ran Glacier National Park's visitor services for the past 32 years has purchased more than 200 acres of land and businesses in West Glacier and Apgar from the family that has owned the property for nearly 70 years.
Glacier Park Inc. president Cindy Ognjanov tells the Hungry Horse News that details of Tuesday's sale will be made public in future corporate filings. She says 150 people employed by the Lundgren family will keep their jobs.
GPI purchased 199 acres of land in West Glacier, including a motel and cabins, restaurant and bar, mercantile, gift shop and other guest services along with nearly four acres in Apgar, which is within the park boundaries. The Apgar holdings include a hotel, gift shop and staff housing.
