Two people have died in a plane crash in Grand Teton National Park.
The crash happened just after noon Wednesday. Park officials say the two on board were dead when emergency responders arrived at the site.
The single-engine plane crashed near Jackson Hole Airport. The airport is Wyoming's busiest airport and the only commercial airport in the nation located inside a national park.
A witness said the plane was approaching the airport from the south when it banked and nose-dived into the ground.
Park officials say the plane was an RV7, a two-seat, single-engine plane that is home built and classified as experimental.
The plane's tail number is registered to a resident of Loveland, Colo.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
