KIRCHNER RELEASE HEARING
MISSOULA, Mont. -

A Missoula judge agreed to release a Missoula standoff suspect from jail.

Police arrested Jason Kirchner, 35, last month after a 20-hour standoff. Prosecutors says he fired several shots at police from his trailer home, before surrendering.

In Missoula County District Court Tuesday, Judge Dusty Deschamps agreed to release Kirchner from jail while he waits for a trial. During his pretrial supervision Kirchner will have to abide by certain conditions, including no alcohol and no weapons.

He's scheduled to appear in court again next month.
