Judge sets $50,000 bail for motel robbery suspect
A suspect in a Missoula motel robbery faced a judge Monday.
Dustin Cook, 24, was arrested on a felony robbery charge after Missoula police say he admitted to stealing money from the Brooks Street Motor Inn late on Christmas night.
Court documents say Cook pointed a gun at the front desk attendant and threatened to shoot him, so the attendant put money in Cook’s backpack.
Cook reportedly worked at the motel for about a week, earlier this year.
Judge Suzanne Geer set bail at $50,000. Cook is already being held on a $25,000 bond out of Oklahoma for burglary.
No arrests have been made in two other reported robberies in Missoula last week. Early Christmas morning, police say a man robbed Montana Lil's Casino on North Reserve. And on Sunday, December 22, a masked man robbed Lucky Lady's Casino on Brooks. In both incidents, the robber flashed a handgun.
