KALISPELL, Mont. -

Soldiers are coming home from serving every day, and here in Montana, one organization is hoping to ease their transition to civilian life.

K-9 Care Montana is a non-profit organization that runs activities for special needs children, wounded warriors and their families.

The group will present three service dogs to wounded warriors at a charity golf tournament in Kalispell in two weeks.

David Riggs is the group's CEO, and says that these dogs can make a lasting and important impact on their owners' lives.

"It can be the difference for these guys getting up in the morning,” said Riggs.  “Walking their dogs, feeding them, caring for them, and that's set aside from the actual benefits that they get dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and TBI (Traumatic Brain Disorder)."

K-9 Care Montana's golf tournament will be on August 16th at 11 a.m. at Village Greens Golf Course in Kalispell.
