Kalispell man shoots and critically injures wife

Teen arrested after shooting scare
KALISPELL, Mont. -

A Kalispell man is in custody after he allegedly shot and critically injured his wife.
    
Police are holding 39-year-old Steven Michael Foley on charges of attempted deliberate homicide.
    
Officers responded to a reported shooting just before 11 p.m. Monday. The caller stated a woman had been shot by her husband, who then fled. The woman was found outside the residence with several gunshots.

Police records tell us that the incident occurred on 6th Avenue West in Kalispell.
    
Foley's wife, who has name has not been identified by authorities... was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center, where she underwent surgery and was listed in critical condition.
    
Foley was located shortly after authorities arrived on scene.  He was found nearby a few streets over walking away from the residence.  Authorities say Foley was not fleeing and was cooperative once taken in custody.
