MISSOULA, Mont. -

Libby and Corvallis High Schools are taking top honors this year in the Air Toxics Under The Big Sky Symposium.

More than 100 high school students competed in the yearly program at the University of Montana today.  The symposium focuses on breathing, air and pollution problems.

Students submit posters or give oral presentations of projects they have been working on throughout the year.

NBC Montana's Heidi Meili judges the presentations every year with other community representatives and the presentations get better and better.

Jake Reny and Barak Lapka from Libby took first place for their discoveries of radon exposure based on different types of soil.

Paige Bothman from Libby and Cullen Williams, Kyle Shifflett, Henry Curtis and Jesse Knapp from Corvallis also took home top awards.
