Montana's Lieutenant Governor was in Missoula to receive his annual flu shot Thursday.

John Walsh is also a Democratic candidate for the Senate seat being vacated by Max Baucus.

He stopped off at Partnership Health Care. Walsh rolled up his sleeve before television cameras.

The Lt. Governor gave two examples why the Affordable Care Act is a good move.

First, said Walsh, patients with pre-existing conditions can't be turned down. Second, he said, young adults can be carried on their parents policies.

Walsh said before implementing the act needs to be fixed. But, he said, it makes no sense for Congress to repeal it.

"When we know that the President is not going to veto it," said Walsh. "So we need to identify the good things with the health care bill and continue to move forward, instead of taking a step back."

Former Governor Schweitzer's Lieutenant Governor John Bohlinger announced this week  his candidacy for Baucus' senate seat.

Walsh said he looks forward to a spirited debate with the Republican turned Democrat.

Wilsall rancher Dirk Adams also announced his candidacy for the seat.
