Fire crews in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest stayed busy over night chasing down several fires sparked by lightning.
Public Information Officer Leona Rodreick said most were around 1/10 of an acre and crews were able to get them under control. This includes a fire reported between Anaconda and Wise River. Rodreick tells us a crew went out to check on another reported fire near Melrose, south of Butte, but couldn't locate anything.
She did explained that with red flag conditions expected Friday crews are out patrolling and ready to jump on anything that pops up.
The largest fire from Thursday's storms appears to be the Indian Creek fire outside Sheridan. Forest officials estimated Friday morning the fire had burned more than 150 acres.
We have a reporter headed out the area. Keep checking back here through the day for updates and let us know if you see any fire in your area.
