A 21-year-old airman from Malmstrom Air Force Base put his CPR training to use just hours after taking the class.
Jake Bush was fishing near Ulm, south of Great Falls Monday evening, when he saw three people struggling in the river at about 9:45 p.m. He jumped in and helped pull them to shore and performed CPR on one of them.
That person was taken to the hospital, but their condition was not immediately available.
Bush says it took everything he had to get out to the people, and that "it was by the grace of God," that he had received the CPR training on Monday.
