TYLER PERRY 1231
MISSOULA, Mont. -

A man accused of killing his grandmother will get a mental health evaluation before entering a plea.

Tyler Dan Perry, 25, is charged with deliberate homicide. Prosecutors say he killed his grandmother, Carole Perry.

Court documents say Perry beat his grandmother over the head with a chair while she was one the couch watching television.  When asked why he killed her cops say he told them "she had a third eye" and was "sucking the life out of his tyranny." And then went on to say, "everybody knew we had to bash her over the head."

In Missoula County District Court Tuesday, the judge entered a not guilty plea on Perry's behalf. He'll undergo what his attorney calls an "essential" mental health evaluation.
