MISSOULA, Mont. -

A Melrose man is accused of stealing $1,700 worth of merchandise from Missoula's Super Walmart.

Investigators said store employees confronted Brian Martin Lubick and he ran.

A Montana Highway Patrol trooper said he found Lubick in a nearby gas station, when he ran again. The report said the trooper finally detained the suspect at a drug store on Reserve Street.

Among the items Lubick's accused of stealing are a TV set, Playstation games, a surveillance video system, a vacuum cleaner, a camera, headphones, DVD movies and two packages of frozen shrimp.

Lubick's bail was set at $25,000.
