Vineyard Plea Change
MISSOULA, Mont. -

A man pleaded guilty to driving drunk in Missoula and running over two women, killing one of them.

Tom George Vineyard pleaded guilty to felony charges of vehicular homicide and negligent vehicular assault, for the incident where prosecutors say he drove drunk onto a sidewalk where two sisters, Pamela and Roberta Demmert were walking. Roberta died and Pamela was seriously injured.

Court documents say Vineyard drank two pitchers of beer before getting into his truck early in morning in May.

In Missoula County District Court Wednesday, Judge Ed McLean granted a request from Vineyard's attorney to allow Vineyard's alcohol monitoring bracelet to be removed. Vineyard has enrolled in an intensive outpatient alcohol treatment program.

A sentencing hearing is scheduled for January.
