BOZEMAN, Mont. -

A shooting in Bozeman Sunday night leaves one man in the hospital. We spoke with Steve Crawford. He is the Detective Captain of the Bozeman Police Department.

He tells us dispatch received a call just before 9:30p.m. on Sunday to the area near Frontage Road and N 19th Street, near the overpass. The alleged shooter, 52-year-old John David Hodges was arrested and charged with Attempted Deliberate Homicide.

We are told Hodges knew the victim, and the incident happened after a verbal dispute. At last check, the victim who was shot several times, was in  serious condition at the hospital.

Police say they recovered the weapon at the scene and there is no further danger to the community.
