A Gallatin County man who led police on a high-speed chase across two counties is back behind bars.
According to the Butte jail roster Matthew Brandemihl was arrested on Friday night.
Brandemihl pleaded guilty to a bizarre string of crimes that included stealing three different vehicles, breaking into a home and leading police on chase through Gallatin and Madison Counties. He surrendered to police in the woods above Pony.
At sentencing Brandemihl received a deferred sentence, and was ordered to treatment court.
Court documents filed less than two weeks after sentencing say Brandemihl never showed up for an appointment with his probation officer. Probation officers say when they tried to track him down, they couldn't find him.
The Butte-Silver Bow Detention center tells NBC Montana Brandemihl has been transported back to Bozeman. The Gallatin County Detention Center shows Brandemihl booked in at just after 2 p.m.
