In Bozeman Saturday afternoon, the community gathered to honor our country's heroes with the unveiling of a special sign dedicated to veterans.
The Blue Star Memorial marker sign sits near I-90 at the rest stop in Bozeman.
The Gallatin Empire Garden Club raised money to sponsor the sign, which pays tribute to all members of the armed forces serving in the past, present and future.
"There are so many people here that have served and have gone overseas, and this is one way that we can say, 'Thank you,'" said Phyllis White, with the Montana Federation of Garden Clubs.
Bozeman's Blue Star Memorial is one of 16 across Montana. The only way for a sign to get installed is through a local Garden Club's sponsorship.
The Blue Star program began in the 1940s, and thousands dot highways across the country.
