Mining City Paranormal car hit by hit and run driver
BUTTE, Mont. -

A Butte woman woke up in the middle of the night to find both of her cars had been hit and damaged by a driver who may have been drunk.

Virginia Lowney is a member of the Mining City Paranormal Team. She said her car was damaged so much, she won't be able to use it to go on investigations.

The paranormal team is holding a fundraiser during the holiday season to buy gifts for elderly folks in Butte. Since she can't drive to pick up gifts, Mining City Paranormal will be at Albertson's tomorrow morning so people can drop off donations.

"All of a sudden I heard a big crash and it sounded like it was in my living room," Lowney explained. "So I jumped up and came outside and there was a car attached to mine. He was trying to get off of it. He hit both my truck and car and did a lot of damage to my Mining City Paranormal car."

Police told Lowney that the driver was in a '98 Ford Mustang, and they are still looking for the suspect.
