Missoula police and sheriff’s deputies are investigating a reported series of indecent exposures and suspicious incidents near businesses in various parts of Missoula.
Police say there was a reported incident on the 500-block of West Broadway at 1:30 a.m. September 5.
A 22-year old female reported that she was walking on a sidewalk when a man suddenly appeared, wearing a black mask, a long-sleeve black turtleneck-type shirt, naked from the waist down. He reportedly made an obscene statement to the woman, and she ran and called 9-1-1.
The description she gave was similar to other reports, including reports of incidents that the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
Sheriff’s officers say they’re looking for information about a male that has been exposing himself to female employees at businesses near the Wye during hours of darkness.
The man is described as wearing dark clothing, possibly between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-10, with either a skinny or barrel-chested build. The suspect may also have reddish facial hair.
The man was reportedly seen spying on women, and on two occasions exposed his genitals. Authorities believe several reported incidents are related.
Folks with information can call Crimestoppers at 406-721-4444, and can remain anonymous. Information leading to an arrest can result in a cash reward up to $1,000.
