Local businesses are bracing for the hundreds of music fans expected to show up for Total Fest, an annual Missoula alternative music festival. The event draws music fans from all over the country, and attendees will have the chance to watch more than 20 bands at venues around Missoula, like the Badlander and the Top Hat.
One record shop owner says the festival brings an increase in customers during the event.
“This guy from Calgary, here’s here every year and drops a couple hundred bucks,” said John Fleming, owner of Ear Candy Records.
The event will be held on August 15, 16, and 17, and also features a record swap.
