Missoula City Council votes to allow sparklers
Sparklers and smoke bombs will now be allowed in the city of Missoula for July 4th.
That's thanks to a vote from the Missoula City Council. The change comes after years of debate over whether to allow fireworks.
A city ban on all fireworks has been in place, and last July the council asked for increased enforcement from police and fire officials.
The new ordinance will allow smoke bombs, sparklers and snakes in the city but all others will continue to remain illegal.
