A Missoula nurse has won a student-built house that could be worth as much as $300,000.
Lynn Jacobson won the raffle, competing with hundreds of people willing to shell out $100 for one ticket.
The new house is a 3-bedroom, 2-bath, 1-level structure that's ready to move into.
Missoula College students and Flagship students from Missoula County High Schools built the house. College faculty and the Missoula Building Industry Association oversaw the project.
The raffle attracted a great deal of community interest.
"And made investments in this particular house, and supported the students and the project,"s aid Missoula College Associate Dean Lynn Stocking.
"It's a great house," said Missoula College carpentry director Dennis Daneke. "It's built very well because students have to learn how to build things right. If they build them wrong we take them out and then re-do it until it's right."
