Manhattan Christian School celebrated an 8th grader who has been named a finalist in Google's 4th annual 'Doodle 4 Google' contest.
Kindergarten through 12th grade students from across the country enter designs to potentially be used as a special Google homepage icon.
This year's theme for the contest was "Inventions To Make The World a Better Place."
Lincoln Young's entry, The Green Machine, was chosen from over 100,000 entries.
Young and the other 49 finalists will receive an Android tablet as well as a trip to Google headquarters in San Francisco.
Young told us, "It's really overwhelming to think that 'Wow, I did it.' And not only that I did it but I have a chance to go further. I'm completely content if I don't go further, but I think it'd be pretty cool if I did."
Voting for the contest will be held through May 9. The winner will be announced May 21 with the winning entry being displayed on Google's homepage June 9.
