MSU graduates more than 2,000
Montana State University has conferred more than 2,000 bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees.
Thousands of proud parents, grandparents, siblings and children gathered in the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on Saturday to cheer for their 2014 graduates during commencement ceremonies.
Among those attending was 103-year-old Barney Myers, a retired math teacher from Billings who graduated from then-Montana State College in 1934 and earned a master's degree in 1954. He's the first person ever to return to MSU to celebrate their 80th graduation anniversary.
Though hard of hearing, Myers told the Bozeman Chronicle (http://bit.ly/RhPHHg ) that the university is a great institution that was outstanding in his day and has improved since.
His advice to young people is to exercise and stay fit.
