Mystic Lake Fire
BOZEMAN, Mont. -

A new wildfire has broken out in the Gallatin National Forest south of Bozeman.

The North Eightmile Fire is currently estimated at 10 acres.

We are told the fire is burning about four miles south of the Mystic Lake Cabin and 20 miles southwest of Livingston.

Public Information Officer Mariah Leuschen says a helicopter and a team of eight smokejumpers are attacking the fire right now.

One tanker and two single engine air tankers have been ordered to respond.

At times a smoke plume has been visible from the Bozeman area.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
