A well-known philanthropist and nurse's dream has finally become a reality at Flathead Valley Community College. The Rebecca Chaney Broussard Center for Nursing and Health Science was dedicated Tuesday afternoon by college administrators, elected officials, and the Broussard family.
The 32,000 square foot building was possible by a $4 million donation from the Broussards as well as $1.3 million raised by the community. Students we spoke to tell us it's a dream to learn and work in such a high-tech building.
"We're so lucky to be able to have this building and be able to use everything in it," said medical assistant student Chasta Markham. "We don't have to fight for space and we don't have to constantly run into the other students. It's all our own and we wouldn't have it if there weren't people out there like Rebecca."
