OSHA investigates roof worker fatality in Florence

FLORENCE, Mont. -

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating a job site fatality in Florence.

Ravalli County Sheriff Chris Hoffman said a 51-year-old Bonner man fell from a roof Wednesday morning.

The man was part of crew removing shingles, working for Missoula based company Jared Langley Roofing and Remodel.

According to Hoffman the man fell nine feet and was taken to a Missoula hospital where he later died.

OSHA Area Director Jeff Funke said his office sent a compliance officer to the Florence work site to investigate. The office has six months to issue the findings in the case.
