BOZEMAN, Mont. -

Search and Rescue crews are looking for a missing man by the George Lake and Pine Creek area in Paradise Valley.

Park County Officials tell us Brad Spalding was reported missing last week. Spalding's car was found at the George Lake trailhead, just 15 miles south of Livingston.

NBC Montana went by the Pine Creek and George Lake area where dozens of emergency vehicles blocked off most of the main roads to the trails.

Search and rescue crews were combing the high terrains looking for Spalding. Lt.Thomas Totland of the Park County Sheriff's Department would not release much information about Spalding, but told us his search team are covering a wide area.

"Between a mile and a half and three to four miles that we've got out there by Pine Creek Lake," said Totland.

He tells us at night the area can get really cold and says crews worry about animals Spalding might encounter, if he is in the area.

"We have animals, hypothermia -- we have different things to look into," said Totland.

NBC Montana walked around some of the trails and caught up with one hiker who told us some trails can be confusing.

"You maybe get mixed up where it forks in the trails, that other people have made and get mixed up," said Quint Bishop.

Park County officials say their search will continue through Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning. This is a developing story and when we learn more information will be sure to update you right here on NBC Montana.
