Plum Creek donates lumber to Habitat site
COLUMBIA FALLS, Mont. -

Plum Creek is lending a helping hand to their neighbor by donating 700 lumber studs to the Habitat to Humanity building site on Mitchell Way Wednesday afternoon. The studs will be used to frame two more homes as part of the 16-home Columbia Falls Affordable Housing Project.

This isn't the first time Plum Creek has pledged their support to Habitat. The Plum Creek Foundation awarded the organization with a $20,000 grant earlier in the project. Plum Creek employees have also stepped up to volunteer during build days.

"At Plum Creek we believe that building partnerships with the community is just the right thing to do," said Lumber Product Manager Greg Grace. "We certainly enjoy it. Habitat has a pretty worthy goal of affordable housing. We're glad to be part of that partnership."

The final six homes in the Columbia Falls project are slated for completion in March 2015.
