BRIGGS
BOZEMAN, Mont. -

According to police, an escaped sex assault suspect spotted this week in Missoula is no longer in the area.

We've been tracking the manhunt for Kevin Briggs, the 28-year-old man accused of raping and assaulting a woman in Bozeman last weekend.

Briggs has been on the run since Saturday morning, when he walked away from an interview room at the Bozeman Law and Justice Center.

Police suspect Briggs came to Missoula on Saturday, but late Friday afternoon, Missoula Police said they believe he's left town.

Police haven't said where he may have fled to, but investigators believe Briggs was spotted in surveillance video at the Greyhound Bus Station on Sunday morning.

Briggs is described as being 5-foot-6, with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information related to Briggs' whereabouts is urged to call 9-1-1 immediately.
